1902 celebrates the year the Corbans’ legacy was born. Land chosen, grapevines planted, history made. In April 1902, Lebanese immigrant Assid Abraham Corban (b.1864) purchased 10 acres of land in Henderson with the intention of starting a vineyard. Many people questioned the wisdom of attempting such a venture, and so far out of Auckland. But AA Corban was a farsighted, enterprising man and he knew exactly what he was looking for. The 1902 wine range plays homage to the year where it all began.
